Prior to his insurance career, James served active duty as a commissioned officer in the US Army before becoming a Financial Manager in the world headquarters of NCR Corp. in Dayton, OH. In 1988, James moved to Florida and began his insurance career. Since that time and prior to joining MacNeill Group, he served as CFO of several Florida domestic insurance companies and an insurance premium finance company while he continued serving in the U.S. Army National Guard and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2000. James joined the MacNeill Group, Inc in 2007 as a Financial Consultant and was named Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in 2008. He is responsible for all aspects of accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, and treasury management.

James earned his BS degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. He also holds a MBA degree from the Wharton School at Philadelphia, PA and is a graduate of the US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, PA.
