John entered the insurance industry as a Computer Consultant in 1991. He spent two years at Unisource Insurance Company, a professional liability insurer, managing computer systems and performing analysis work. In 1993 he joined the MacNeill Group where he worked on several projects including rate surveys, software application design, data analysis, and insurance accounting. In 1998 John started practicing as a consulting actuary, primarily working for clients of the MacNeill Group. John joined the MacNeill Group’s executive team as a Vice President in 2003 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2005. He has been closely involved in the statistical, financial and systems aspects of several insurance company startups. He currently oversees the analytical services unit, which is responsible for quality assurance and internal auditing, as well as oversight of design, maintenance and testing of the company’s third-party personal lines policy management system.

John received his undergraduate and graduate Engineering degrees from Notre Dame and Georgia Tech, respectively. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and attained his designation as an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society in 1998.
