In 1993, following the creation of a professional liability insurance company management system, he joined MacNeill, as Administrative Assistant to Douglas Bullington. He has broadened his insurance knowledge through a vast array of projects including rate surveys, software application development, data analysis, and insurance accounting. He has been closely involved in the statistical, financial, and informational aspects of over five insurance company startups.

John is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and the Executive Officer in charge of the Analytical Services division of the MacNeill Group.
