General Liability Underwriting and Rating Considerations

• Rate based on $1MM/$2MM Limit
• Rate per $1,000 payroll for ISO Classes 91127 and 91130
• Blanket Additional Insured Endorsements Available
• Lost Key Coverage ($25,000 Limit)
• Errors and Omissions provide coverage for all damages for any negligent act, error or omission not otherwise excluded. Charge is usually around 10 percent of General Liability (subject to a minimum premium)
• Electronic Data Liability provides “property damage” for “electronic data,” subject to physical injury to tangible property. Refer to your underwriter for details.
• Umbrella/Excess coverage is available
• Prohibited:
  • Alarm manufacturing except burglar, fire or smoke
  • Installation and monitoring at chemical, fertilizer and petrochemical facilities
  • Metal, chemical or explosive detection devices at transportation facilities, federal buildings or post office mailrooms
  • Monitoring for home incarceration or pretrial release
  • Non-owned and hired auto coverage
  • Off-shore exposures – gas and oil rigs and ships
